Anker, the well-known manufacturer of various technology accessories such as cell phone mounts and rechargeable battery packs, has released a line of water and dust resistant flashlights. Normally, we would assume that these are just another cheap LED flashlight, but these flashlights are appear to be of a higher quality and sport a couple of key features to set themselves apart from the rest of the market.

Water & Dust Resistance

The fact that the Anker Flashlights are water and dust resistant is huge. LED flashlights, unlike traditional incandescent bulb flashlights, are more like a consumer electronic device than anything else. They are made up of circuit boards with resistors and capacitors, all of which do not like to be mixed with water. The least expensive models, the Anker Bolder LC40 and LC90, are IP65 rated, meaning it is protected against shorting out in the rain or after a light splash. The Anker Bolder LC130 is the highest end model and is IP67 rated, which means that you could technically use it under water for a short period of time. This is the same water resistance rating as the latest iPhone.

Battery

The rechargeable battery capabilities of the  sets it apart from its competitors, The LC90 & LC130 models are fully rechargeable via their built in Micro USB ports. This is super handy when camping, hiking, or off-roading, as they can then be charged from a portable battery pack or a car cigarette lighter in a short time.
