Empire Landing Campground is really a private campground operated on BLM public lands with RV camping located along the shores of the Colorado River. The campground is located along the popular Parker Strip area of the river.
All of the campsites at Empire Landing offer a fire ring, picnic table, and access to drinking water, and bathrooms with showers. The campground also offers access to bocce pits and shuffleboard. Access to supplies is readily available in the area.

Empire Landing is located about seven miles south of the Parker Dam on the California side of the Colorado River. Look for the BLM sign.

When To Go
Early Spring – Early Summer & Fall – Empire Landing Campground is in the Mojave Desert, so it gets very hot in the summer, and is the low season for the area. We recommend going in spring, early summer, and fall as the days will be warm and the nights will be cooler. There will be more activity in the area during these times as well.

What To Do
Off-road driving – There are several OHV driving areas nearby on the California side of the river.
Boating – The Colorado River is accessible from the campground and offers great destinations for a day on the river.
