Hilltop Campground is a developed campground set against the backdrop of the Bradshaw Mountains and Lynx Lake in Arizona. Hilltop is a medium-sized campground is just a short distance away from downtown Prescott and is shaded by towering ponderosa pines. Fishing and mountain biking are popular activities at Lynx Lake.

The campground has 38 campsites, and each campsite has a fire ring, picnic table, and access to vault toilets. Drinking water is available at the campground. Supplies and services are located 8 miles away in Prescott. The campground is open from April 1st to October 31st.

Similar to Lynx Lake Campground, it can be tough to get a campsite at Hilltop Campground, as it is located within the busiest recreation area in Central Arizona.  On average the Lynx Lake Recreation Area will see around 90,000 visitors a year.

From the Courthouse Plaza in Prescott, Arizona, head east on Gurley Street. Then head east on State Route 69. Drive 4 miles to the turnoff to Walker Road (Forest Road 197). Follow Walker Road for about 3 miles to the Hilltop Campground sign. Drive for about half a mile until you reach the main campground.

Hiking & Mountain Biking – There are miles of trails in the area that are great for day hikes and mountain bike rides.

Gold Panning – Within the Day Use area there is a designated area for trying your luck at gold panning.

Boating & Fishing – Lynx Lake offers a great lazy day on the water for paddling and fishing. Only electric trolling motors are allowed.
