Cement Flats campground is semi-developed campground in the BLM-managed Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area near the popular Glamis off-road area. Cement Flats is true to its name and is little more than a concrete pad in the sand for parking RVs and trailers on. The Cahuilla Ranger Station as well as vault toilets are located next door to Cement Flats.
The big draw to Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area is off-roading and OHV driving. The area around Cement Flats offers hundreds of square miles for off-roading, though there are some areas that are marked off limits to vehicles for plant and habitat protection.
