Cinder Hills OHV Area is a scenic area set aside for off-highway vehicle recreation among volcanic cinder cones and ponderosa pines. The recreation area is about 13,500 acres and is a mixture of open riding areas and trail only areas. Primitive dispersed camping is available virtually anywhere within the boundaries of Cinder Hills, however most people camp along FR776. Developed camping is available nearby at Bonito Campground just outside the OHV area.
