Copper Basin Road Campground is another primitive campground in the Prescott Basin area, just outside of the city of Prescott with only 7 campsites. The campground is at the southern end of FDR 373 in the Prescott National Forest near Thumb Butte Loop Campground.
There are 7 private campsites at Copper Basin Road Campground, 6 of which can accommodate an RV or trailer. The campsites do not offer any amenities other than a fire ring. There is a post in the ground that is numbered to mark each designated campsite. All trash must be packed out. There is no fee for camping at Copper Basin Road Campground. Supplies can found nearby in Prescott.
The campsites are technically open all year, but beware the area does get snow in the winter.

Head south on Montezuma Street in Prescott for 1 mile. It will turn into White Spar Hwy. 89. Turn right on Copper Basin Road and for travel 3.1 miles. The campsites are located along Copper Basin Road.
