Craggy Wash Dispersed Camping Area is a free camping spot located in the desert on BLM land north of Lake Havasu City, east of the Colorado River and US Highway 95. The area where Craggy Wash is located in a rocky desert spot with little vegetation, that can be rough on tent-campers, but is popular with large RVs and tent campers alike. While Craggy Wash is an unofficial BLM campsites, there surprisingly is a campground host here that checks visitors in and advises them of the rules of the area. The area can be crowded with large RVs but is usually pretty quiet.
There are no amenities at Craggy Wash Dispersed Camping Area. Access to the camping area is via a sandy dirt road through a wash that is narrow at spots. The nearest store for supplies is located about 5 miles away.

Fall – Early Summer & Fall – This area of the Mojave Desert gets very hot in the summer, and is the low season for the area.

Hiking and Rock Climbing – There is open desert that is available for free range hiking to a number of peaks that are ideal for rock climbing.
