The park is about 430 acres in size, with a large shoreline on Port Susan. Kayak Point County Park is a popular destination for kayaking, windsurfing, fishing, crabbing, whale watching, and hiking.

There are 32 campsites at Kayak Point County Park for tent and RV camping, with partial hookups. All of the campsites are shaded under a pine tree canopy. All of the campsites include a picnic table, fire ring, and access drinking water, showers, and flush toilets. Alcohol is not permitted in Kayak Point County Park. Campers must arrive prior to 10pm.
