Lakeside Campground is a developed campground located in Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest along Arizona Highway 260, in the resort area of the popular Pinetop-Lakeside area. The campground is a medium-sized campground fully located within the city limits of the town of Pinetop, Arizona. The campground is sandwiched between the highway and the north shore of Rainbow Lake. Lakeside Campground is largely shaded by Ponderosa Pines, and is one of the oldest National Forest campgrounds in the state of Arizona. Rainbow Lake has access to fishing and boating recreational opportunities.
Each campsite at Lakeside Campground includes a picnic table, fire ring, cooking grill, and access to bathrooms and showers. There are 75 tent and RV campsites, some of which have electric hookups.
