Pumphouse Wash Dispersed Camping Area is a popular no fee, dispersed camping spot along SR 89A in northern Arizona, just south of Flagstaff. It is a nice alternative to the busy campgrounds along Oak Creek for people that like to camp to get away from other people.
The dispersed camping area is comprised of four loops of numbered campsites. For the most part, the campsites are large, flat, and shaded. Ponderosa Pines cover the campsites and provide shade throughout the day. The only amenity at the Pumphouse Wash campsites is a fire ring at each numbered site. There are no restrooms, toilets, or trash services on site.
