Strawberry Point Campground is another small campground on the shores of Ice House Reservoir in California’s Eldorado National Forest. The other campgrounds are Northwind Campground and Ice House Campground. All of the campgrounds on Ice House Reservoir are connected by a nearly 3-mile long hiking and mountain biking trail. The reservoir is popular with anglers fishing for bass, and kayakers. Strawberry Point Campground is maintained as part of the larger Crystal Basin Recreation Area, which is a partnership between the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) and the US Forest Service.
There are 10 campsites at Strawberry Point Campground. All of the campsites include a picnic table, fire ring, and access to a vault toilet. A dump station and boat ramp are available at Ice House Campground. A free California Campfire Permit is required for campfires. Permits can be picked up at an Eldorado National Forest office. All campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis; reservations are not accepted.
